"We’ve been dying to come to Australia for a long time. We’ve sounded like a broken record [with] the number of times we’ve said that.”

Popular American trio the Jonas Brothers co-hosted Smallzy’s Surgery yesterday and talked about their upcoming release, The Album, out tomorrow (Friday, 12 May).
Smallzy, an Aussie host who features on the Australian radio station, Nova, had to ask about the band possibly touring down under.
Asking about the trio’s lengthy US tour starting in August that runs through September and October, Smallzy quizzed them about the “chronological” sets they’re planning.
“I was going to ask about Australia, but I’m like a scorned lover – I’ve asked you when you’re coming and you’ve told me you were, and then you never showed up for years,” Smallzy stated, before the brothers reminded him, “Covid hit, which complicated our ability to come”, “you really didn’t want anyone to come”, and, “you said no.”
Then, Nick Jonas said, “We’ve been dying to come to Australia for a long time. We’ve sounded like a broken record [with] the number of times we’ve said that.” He’s come here as a solo artist, but the Jonas Brothers have never actually played in Australia.
“The fact that we’ve never gone there and played a show; it’s long overdue. We’re figuring that out now. That’s the next step,” Nick Jonas shared. Check out the interview here.

In March 2019, the Jonas Brothers didn’t only announce that they had reunited, but appeared on Smallzy’s Surgery and said that they would be coming to Australia.
"... To our Australian fans, thank you for being so patient, for the Jonas Brothers to come back around and to play a show there," Joe Jonas said.
"We have two promises; we’re back, and we’re going to definitely tour Australia!"
Of course, Covid-19 had to get in the way of fans’ longtime dreams.
The Jonas Brothers’ sixth album, The Album, is coming out tomorrow via Republic Records. It features the singles Wings and Waffle House, the latter of which Nick Jonas connected to Sydney’s Pancakes On The Rocks while talking to Smallzy.
On The Album, the Jonas Brothers found influences in 70s pop and Americana, channelling acts such as the Bee Gees and The Doobie Brothers. You can pre-order The Album here.
