Alex Lahey has joined the Good Things Festival bill, while event organisers have also added local bands to each city. Unfortunately, Sacramento punk rockers Destroy Boys will no longer perform at the festival or make it to Australia for their sideshows.
In a statement, the band said: “Due to unforeseen circumstances, we will have to cancel our appearance at Good Things and Australia shows. To our Aussie fans - we are sorry we can’t make it this time, and we can’t wait to meet you in the future!”
Destroy Boys, who were set to appear on Stage 5 at the festival and perform sideshows with co-headliner Alex Lahey, have been replaced by the I Love You Like A Brother singer.
From her 2017 debut (I Love You Like A Brother) to her third album, The Answer Is Always Yes (released last year), Alex Lahey provides comfort in the discomfort with her effortless pop-punk earworms. She’s received two ARIA nominations and appeared on the soundtracks for Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 and the film The Mitchells vs. the Machines.
In addition to Lahey’s addition to the Good Things bill, local bands will be appearing on stages in each city. Belle Haven have joined in Melbourne, Inertia in Sydney, and Bad Neighbour in Brisbane. Meanwhile, the festival’s Battle Of The Bands competition has ended, and the winners are Body Prison (Melbourne), Pyrefly (Sydney), and Cosmica (Sydney).
