We are ready!
There's been a stack of updates about new music biopics this week.
Overnight it's been revealed that actor and director Kenneth Branagh - who has appeared in everything from adaptations of Shakespeare's Henry V and Much Ado About Nothing to Harry Potter & The Chamber Of Secrets to The Boat That Rocked - has been locked in to direct the upcoming Bee Gees film.
Branagh has previously directed films like Thor, Murder On The Orient Express, Sleuth, Cinderella, Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit and more.
Variety has also reported that Ben Elton has been locked in to write the script. Elton, of course, gained his musical chops writing the smash hit stage production of Queen's We Will Rock You.
The film, which is yet to be named, was first announced in 2019 with Paramount Pictures teaming up with production company Sister and Bohemian Rhapsody producer Graham King for the film, and is set to share the story of brothers Barry, Robin and Maurice Gibb and their international success.
The production company also "purchased the life rights to the Gibb family estate on behalf of GK’s King and will be able to use their classic songs in the movie".

Known for hits including Stayin' Alive, How Deep Is Your Love, Night Fever and more, the group are multi-Grammy and American Music Award winners and were inducted into the ARIA Hall Of Fame in 1997.
It's also been revealed this week that the upcoming Alan McGee biopic - which focuses on the life of the Creation Records co-founder - has been given an Australian release date.
The film, which is dubbed Creation Stories (the same name of McGee's 2013 autobiography Creation Stories: Riots, Raves & Running A Label), will be released on 15 April and looks at his life working with acts like Primal Scream, Oasis, The Jesus & Mary Chain, My Bloody Valentine and more.
Creation Stories was adapted by Irvine Welsh (best-known for Trainspotting) and writer/musician Dean Cavanagh and stars Ewen Bremner who came to fame for his role as Daniel "Spud" Murphy in Trainspotting alongside Thomas Turgoose, Micahel Socha, Saskia Reeves, Paul Kaye and features cameos from The Libertines' Carl Barat, comedian Ed Byrne and more.

Lady Gaga fans have also caught a first glimpse of her in the upcoming House Of Gucci film earlier this week. The US artist is portraying Patrizia Reggiana in the upcoming House Of Gucci film, alongside Adam Driver who stars as Reggiana's husband Maurizio Gucci, with the film currently in production in Italy.
House Of Gucci tells the story of the "the tumultuous Gucci family fashion dynasty and the murder of founder Guccio Gucci’s grandson Maurizio Gucci".
Reggiana was convicted of arranging the killing of her husband via a hitman in 1995, entering into a 29 year prison sentence in 1998.
