Australian rock luminaries AC/DC have been announced as one of the performers for next month's Grammy Awards.

The veteran outfit are riding the wave of their latest album's success, with Rock Or Bust recently charting strongly overseas, including the US. They were also just named as one of the headline acts for one of the biggest festivals in America, if not the world, Coachella.

As reported by Billboard, AC/DC will perform at the 8 Feb ceremony along with English crooner Ed Sheeran, pop singer Ariana Grande, country musician Eric Church and music icon Madonna.

There will be quite the Aussie feel at this year's awards with several homegrown artists, including Iggy Azalea and Sia, up for multiple gongs.
