More AC/DC More AC/DC

Veteran Australian rock outfit AC/DC have been named as one of the headlining acts for this year's mega Coachella event in the US.

The legendary band, who've enjoyed recent chart success thanks to their new album Rock Or Bust, lead the performers for the two Fridays of the two weekend festival. The other big name Aussie act to perform on the opening days of Coachella are Perth psych-rockers Tame Impala.

The local performers don't stop there though, with 2014 star Chet Faker, sibling duo powerhouse Angus & Julia Stone, Riptide hit-maker Vance Joy, Sydney-based DJ Alison Wonderland, adopted Aussie Kimbra, Melbourne-bred DJ and producer Dirty South and Flume's side-project What So Not confirmed to play at the event.

Coachella 2015 will also be headlined by soon-to-be-touring rapper Drake and The White Stripes' Jack White, plus performances from Interpol, The Weeknd, Alt-J, Florence & The Machine and David Guetta.

The festival will be held between Apr 10 & 12 and Apr 17 & 19. Head to the Coachella website for more.
