For those who have been daily readers of our news service, it comes as no shock, but little comfort, that as of today (September 3) we will no longer be updating the Daily News Feed and next week on September 10, we will publish our last Velvet Rope weekly news column. Unlike the recent shutterings of major music distributors, publishers and retailers, ours is not an economic reason, it's simply that the locomotive of IMMEDIA! is being retired and shunted off to a siding in Coffs Harbour in November, hence the need to close the railroad and sell of the tracks. The news story in today's Undercover says it best.
