A few Aussies are among the nominees for next year’s Grammy Awards, with singer-songwriter Sia and rapper Iggy Azalea leading the way with four noms a piece.

Sia’s Chandelier and Azalea’s Fancy feat. Charli XCX are both up for the coveted Record Of The Year, facing competition from British crooner Sam Smith and Stay With Me (the Darkchild remix version,) pop sensation Taylor Swift and Shake It Off and Megan Trainor, who we can thank for reminding us in 2014 it was All About That Bass.

Chandelier also nabbed the Adelaide-born Sia noms in Song Of The Year, Best Pop Solo Performance and Best Music Video. Mullumbimby-native Azalea is also nominated in the categories of Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for Fancy, as well as Best New Artist and Best Rap Album, for The New Classic where she will go up against hip hop heavyweights such as Eminem, Common and Childish Gambino. Another Aussie is also mixing it in the category of Best Rap Album — M-Phazes co-produced a track for Eminem's nominated The Marshall Mathers LP2.

Queensland-raised Keith Urban will also fly the flag for the Aussies come February – he’s up for Best Country Solo Performance for Cop Car and Best Country Duo/Group for Raise ‘Em Up feat. Eric Church. And Melbourne-based, South African-born composer Wouter Kellerman and flutist scored a nomination in the category of Best New Age Album for his collaboration with Ricky Kej, Winds Of Samsara.
