Brighton's Architects have just completed work on Daybreaker, the follow-up album to their highly successful The Here And Now. Daybreaker was produced with John Mitchell and Ben Humphreys at Outhouse Studios in Reading (Enter Shikari, You Me At Six, The Blackout, Funeral For A Friend) the same team that worked on Hollow Crown (2009). The stunning artwork for the album was done by Paul Jackson (Tank.Axe.Love). Daybreaker will be released on June 5 in the USA and May 28 in Europe. Right before embarking on a European tour supporting Rise Against, Architects (UK) are releasing The Here And Now 2012 Special Edition in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, UK, Benelux, France, Australia and New Zealand. The Here And Now 2012 Special Edition will include "Devil's Island" and "Untitled", all video clips ("Day In Day Out", "Learn To Live", "Heartburn", "Delete, Rewind" + "An Open Letter To Myself"), making-of's for "Learn To Live" and "Heartburn" and several online clips.

A few years back, singer-songwriter Tim Barry closed out an album by pondering his own death – and he didn't seem to mind leaving this earth too much. "Take what you want/I won't leave much," he sang. 2012 finds him in a very different place. Themes of resilience and hope flow through Barry's new record, "40 Miler," which will be released in Australia by Resist Records (licensed from Chunksaah) on April 6th. "If this record is uplifting compared to my old ones it's because I feel stronger from all the beat-downs and shit I've taken in the past," says the Richmond, Virginia-based artist. "40 Miler" also finds Barry taking his spare folk-country sound in a different direction. This time around Barry opts for more raucous, rocking approach on several tracks, adding more electric guitar, organ, piano, harmonica, as well as the gorgeous voice of Richmond songstress Julie Karr to the mix. Brisbanes own, Dollarosa have just release episode one of their studio diaries, fresh out of premier Australian recording studio, loose stones studios (Dead Letter Circus, Sunk Loto). The band are currently putting the final touches on their debut release with the new line up.

Scion A/V has partnered with the Melvins for a EP titled 'Scion A/V Presents: The Bulls & The Bees,' a five-song collection that marks the band's first original material since their 2010 album 'The Bride Screamed Murder.'
