Chicago's Born Of Osiris will finally bring their extremely technical and groundbreakingly progressive sound to Australian audiences this May. Carrying a remarkable amount of notches on their belt for a band so young, the six-piece will be decimating audiences down under fresh from the studio where they’ve been working on their third full-length, due for release in 2013. 2011’s critically acclaimed The Discovery showed a band pushing the boundaries of themselves, with fierce dual vocal interplay, majestic shredding, ethereal keyboards and a solid dose of chunky grooves providing the framework for their heady concepts. Dozens of successful tours with the likes of Unearth, Norma Jean, Veil Of Maya and more have seen the band rise to become an unstoppable force of modern metal around the globe. Adding to the intensity of these nine shows will be Brisbane’s A Breach Of Silence and Melbourne’s Feed Her To The Sharks. Tickets on sale Monday 25th of February.

Daylight have posted the first new song from their forthcoming debut album online. The song "In On It" is taken from the band's debut album "Jar", which will be released on April 30 through Run For Cover Records.

Last night Brisbane's Milestones premiered a new song from their forthcoming album on Triple J's Short.Fast.Loud program, and today we are bringing you the exclusive online stream of the song. The song is titled "Brisbane, I've Grown Tired Of You", and it is taken from the band's new album "I'd Rather Be Honest", which will be released in the coming months, with the details of the release set to be announced shortly. The band recorded the new album with Sam Saljooghi at Blackhole Studios on the Gold Coast, and it was mixed and mastered by Jay Maas at Getaway Studios in Boston, Massachusetts. You can catch the band on the entire Soundwave 2013 festival, which kicks off this Saturday in Brisbane, as well as at their sidewaves in Melbourne and Perth with Gallows, Shai Hulud and Confession.

Respected Maryland metallers Periphery have debuted their new music video for song ‘Scarlet.’

Gallows have announced the departure of guitarist Steph Carter, with the band announcing their plans to continue as a four-piece."Steph has left Gallows and we wish him the best of luck with his future projects. We will be moving on as a four piece like the early days. First stop Australia."The band will be touring Australia as part of Soundwave, starting this Saturday at the Brisbane leg of the festival. The band are also playing two Sidewaves while in the country.

The second announcement for the annual Melbourne hardcore festival Break The Ice has been announced, with a further 5 bands being added to the line up. Miles Away, 50 Lions, The Others, Vigilante and Reincarnation have been added to the line up, which already included the likes of Bane, Cold World, Rotting Out, Hopeless, Relentless and Iron Mind.
