CUB (Carlton & United Breweries) are presenting the 2024 edition of LIV LOUD in celebration of this year’s Ausmusic T-Shirt Day.
Not necessarily a festival, but a slate of homegrown artists playing in assorted Australian venues on off-peak days through Ausmusic month (November), LIV LOUD stars the likes of Grinspoon and Press Club performing at Waves Wollongong, Sons Of The East playing on the Sunshine Coast, The Wiggles’ Murray Cook And The Soul Movers in Coffs Harbour, and more.
Additional acts on the expansive bill include The Rions, The Rubens, Raave Tapes, Charlie Needs Braces, Dental Plan, Queenie, and many more. You can find all the shows, ticketing information, and more about LIV LOUD 2024 here.
Carlton & United Breweries will support the Australian music scene by giving $100,000 in cash grants to venues hosting LIV LOUD acts across the country.
Approximately 40 venues will receive cash grants this month to host acts on off-peak days. CUB will also directly donate funds to Support Act for this year’s Ausmusic T-Shirt Day.
Sarah Wilcox, Marketing Manager of CUB, said that the company has supported Aussie pubs for “many years” and is “thrilled” to continue the tradition with this year’s edition of LIV LOUD.

Wilcox continued, “Venues use their grants from CUB to pay for putting on their shows – from paying the performers to hiring extra staff so punters can enjoy a great night out. Formats will vary from live music to DJs and trivia so that there is something for everyone.
“LIV LOUD 2024 will drive foot traffic through the door on off-peak nights and support venues when they need it. Our first LIV LOUD program last year was so well-received we had to do it again, and it’s terrific [that] we can help Support Act as part of it.”
Support Act CEO Clive Miller is “delighted” CUB is presenting LIV LOUD 2024 in support of Support Act and Ausmusic T-Shirt Day.
“Last year’s program was a fantastic success, bringing music events into venues across the country throughout November to celebrate Australian music and raise funds for Support Act,” Miller said. “As our tagline says, ‘Life’s better with Australian music,’ and we thank CUB for their generous support for the campaign and for their help in keeping the music playing for everyone who works in Australian music.”
On a personal note, Murray Cook added: “The Soul Movers are super excited to be playing at the Hoey Moey in Coffs Harbour on Sunday, 17 November, as part of this fantastic initiative, LIV LOUD. Support Act's work is so important to our industry, and we are happy to be able to contribute alongside many great acts across so many venues.
“As someone who grew up in regional NSW, I am delighted that the initiative is taking music to regional areas. So, get along to some shows, wear a band shirt for Ausmusic T-shirt Day and support Aussie Musicians through Support Act.”
Ausmusic T-Shirt Day returns exactly a month from now – Thursday, 28 November. You can show your support to the initiative by buying an Australian music shirt, donating to Support Act, or fundraising with a team. More information is available here.
