Ticketek Entertainment Group (TEG) has announced that it is undergoing a CEO transition, as Group CEO Brad Banducci is stepping down at the end of the month. Taking over the role is Chief Operating Officer Cameron Hoy, who has been appointed Group CEO.

The promotion comes after Hoy was named Chief Operating Officer and Head of Global Ticketing of TEG in December 2023. Since then, Hoy has been responsible for some of the company’s most crucial divisions. These include the Data Science, Analytics and Digital divisions, as well as the Product and Technology sector.

Last March, TEG revealed that its long-standing CEO, Geoff Jones, had moved into a Chairman role while Brad Banducci stepped into the CEO position. At the time, Banducci said he was “following both a personal passion for live events and a strong belief in the increasing importance of live experiences in general.”

Outlining his decision to pass the reins to Hoy, Banducci explained that with the company’s growth on the horizon, he believed it was best to transition leadership of the Group.

“When I joined the Group just over a year ago, I came in to do a specific role - to set the Group up for the next horizon of growth,” Banducci said. “I felt the time was right to transition leadership of the Group.

“With that in mind, I wanted to announce that, consistent with our succession planning, Cameron Hoy, our Chief Operating Officer, has been appointed as Group CEO effective the 1st of June.”

Banducci continued, “Cam has been part of the live entertainment and ticketing industry for more than 20 years - through growth, change and every version of this industry and it feels appropriate to pass on the baton to someone who has made such a major contribution to building the Group we have today and who is committed to the next chapter of delivering as the partner of choice for venues across the live events spectrum.”

Cameron Hoy added, “TEG exists to partner with the world’s best Venues, Promoters and Rights-holders to connect fans to the moments that matter most, and I am honoured to lead such an entrepreneurial business and team.”
