“To my exceptional team…. through a growth mindset, collaboration, creativity, and business strategy, we built the leading music & culture agency in Australia and one that’s recognised globally as genuinely world-class,” he wrote. “In 2024, we delivered agency-best results, a testament that good people and good work is also great business.”

His post continued, “To our artists & managers: brand partnerships have become a bigger part of the industry than I think any of us imagined. The balancing act of maintaining your artistic integrity and working with brands to achieve their outcomes is often nuanced and challenging, but for all those who leaned in, I’m thrilled we helped you reach new & engaged audiences.

“To our strategic partners and my wider Universal family – your enthusiasm and engagement elevated our brand partnerships to unparalleled heights. In a complex industry, the knowledge you held but openly shared with me was immense and invaluable.”

At the end of his post, Ireland got specific with his farewells, thanking CEOs George Ash and Sean Warner for their trust, leadership and support. He also commented on senior executives Brooke Pilton and James Griffiths and their dedication, support, and commitment. In a heartfelt conclusion, Ireland wrote, “I’ve never made such deep friendships at work, and you made me better than I was.

“I’d love to keep in touch with those who share a passion for brand marketing, building value, creating new partnerships, harness a growth mindset and like to have a laugh along the way.”

At the time of publication, it’s unclear what Ireland will do next.
