Come join Videocouch, Pointe and Jester & The Fools for a Halloween night of live music, a drink prize and frightening characters!!To celebrate Halloween, we will be hosting a costume party with an awesome $100 BAR TAB PRIZE for the best dressed! So dressing spooky is strongly encouraged, you might just walk away with a couple drinks for you and your friends. Or just for you... We wont judge. These three amazing bands will be bringing their dark, atmospheric music to the stage, a sound that feels made for a haunting night.

THE MUSICIANSJESTER AND THE FOOLSA queer, Magandjin-based, experimental rock trio who delight in genre-hopping and scathing satire. They boast a diverse catalogue ranging from ballads to high energy jams stemming from their shared experiences of theatre, jazz, and classical music. While this iteration of Jester and the Fools features all three musicians on vocals and songwriting, becoming a fool is a simple ceremony and their circus grows daily.POINTEAn emerging five-piece alternative rock band based in Meanjin/Brisbane. Formed by high school friends and inspired by bands such as Interpol, Sonic Youth and noise rock, Pointe creates sounds that are abrasive, bittersweet and otherworldly, yet familiar. Vocalist Rose Fogarty sings introspective lyrics delivered with her ethereal voice, accompanied by the intricate guitar playing of Jake Park and Daniel Power, while the pulsating rhythms of bassist Jude Spann and drummer Evander Adams-Post drive each song. Pointe takes audiences to varying places at every show, from quiet, tender moments of introspection to head-banging riffs and experimental noise.VIDEOCOUCHMeanjin/Brisbane-based alt-rock sextet ‘videocouch’ are best described by their ethos: authentic, cathartic, eclectic and intentional. Pulling from a range of ambient, classical, folk, indie, jazz and post-punk influences, they create a jagged yet beautiful collage of coming-of-age introspection. Formed by schoolmates, the group are unapologetically themselves, sharing lead vocal duties, trading instruments and including a three-piece horn section. This genre-bending sound and shape-shifting lineup are the controlled chaos that define ‘videocouch’, the perfect storm that challenges the status quo and pushes the boundaries of what it means to be an alt-rock band.
