The Mal Eastick Review – 50 Years (1976–2026)

This show celebrates guitarist Mal Eastick’s 50-year career with a live performance featuring songs and stories from his journey through Australian rock and blues. Known for his melodic solos and distinctive tone, Eastick has contributed to over 25 albums—many achieving Gold and Multi-Platinum status, including several chart-toppers.

After early success in mainstream rock, he shifted in the mid-1980s to pursue his passion for blues, forming his own band and continuing to perform for over four decades. The show reflects on his influences, milestones, collaborations, and experiences from Australia’s pub rock era, alongside instrumental highlights.

Eastick has performed with and supported numerous international and Australian artists, and worked across many major recordings. A key moment in his career was organising the Andrew Durant Memorial Concert, which raised significant funds for cancer research and earned industry recognition.

He has received multiple awards for his musicianship and contributions to live music, and remains active as a performer, recording artist, and educator. The current band features John Makey, Peter Grey, Rudy Miranda, and John Tweed.
