This week Isobel Knight, Maia Jelavic and Honey Bug are stopping by for a show.
Isobel Knight writes and plays songs where the venn diagram of Julia Jacklin and Bruce Springsteen crosses over. Her versatile voice, soul-folk melodies and lyricism have carried her music into hearts and charts, with her album ‘Here Now’ debuting at #5 of the independent charts. Fresh from a year of shows across the globe, Isobel is a songwriter full of both warmth and vigour. Armed with her acoustic guitar, a killer band and a story-telling instinct, she’s a folk singer with a rocky bent and a quick sense of humour.
Maia Jelavic is an Australian songwriter and multi-instrumentalist whose songs are defined by presence. A commanding live performer known for bringing rooms to a standstill, she pairs intricate guitar work and piano-led arrangements with a voice that is distinct; fragile yet authoritative, and delivered with striking control. Rooted in folk but expansive in scope, her music is immersive and emotionally direct, balancing intimacy with smouldering intensity and a slow-burning edge that nods to early rock and grunge influences. Across 2025, Jelavic has released three singles from her debut album Back Burner (out February 24), marking a confident return under her own name. The record is an unflinching coming-of-age reflection on navigating your twenties, led by the focus track Green Light. Singles Spanish Moss, Solid and Human, and The New have received airplay on triple j, FBI, 2SER and triple rrr, with vinyl available via Suitcase Records.
Honey Bug is a whimsical and sometimes mischievous duo originally from WA. Sometimes telling sweet, funny tales and sometimes delving deeper on young adult life and the ups and downs that come with it. Honey Bug is like Ying and Yang, serious and fun, sweet like honey and gritty like a bug
Social Sanctuary is proud to be sponsored by Mountain Goat.
