What?
Occasionally a voice grips you. Makes a song feel like the arrival of an old friend even when you don’t know the words. Jack Raymond has one of those voices. It’s the crackling of a campfire, boots on a gravel road, whisky meets ice. It’s a voice you’ve never heard before but you’ve known it your whole life.
Hailing from country Harrietville, Victoria, this man of the mountains has travelled the coastline and settled by the ocean in Noosa, Queensland. His style is “mountain roots” – rugged, raw and grounded in blues with an easy Folk undertone. Raymond is a Foot Stomping storyteller, drawing inspiration from his travels and the characters he’s met along the way.
