"This song is about taking those struggles (lemons) and turning them into triumphs (juice)."
The Music is proud to premiere the latest clip from West Sydney post hop artist Nardean ahead of its official release tomorrow.
The video is for Aux Cord - the new single from her upcoming second EP The New Era (get your hands on it 1 May) - a track about overcoming the struggles of growing up caught between two cultures.
"Aux Cord is about growing up in an ethnic family in Western Sydney," says Nardean.
"It's about the hybrid culture that is born when you are the child of immigrants.
"I was never fully Australian, but I wasn't fully an Egyptian either. There were bits from both cultures that I took on. Tuma Basa - from YouTube Music - referred to it at the ARIA masterclass as the 'third culture'.
"Growing up in the west meant that I was surrounded with a rich and diverse community, that was unfortunately underprivileged in many ways. This song is about taking those struggles (lemons) and turning them into triumphs (juice)."

Nardean made the clip for the song herself out of childhood home videos and footage of her life and live shows now, tracking her evolution from cute as a button "Tiny Nardo" to fierce AF "adult Nardo".
It's also full of guest spots from other Western Sydney artists - including L-FRESH The LION, Carolina Gasolina and Mirrah - helping spread the message that when life gives you lemons, "keep it juicy".
