2015 highlight of the year

ARIAs 2015: It was the first time in years they actually pertained relevance to both the music industry and those in it. People deserving of the awards actually won, not just mainstream artists, and the performances were mostly from Australian artists.

prediction for 2016

Australian music in general is being recognised on an international scale and I see it continuing along that trajectory with the help of those who are already big overseas i.e. Courtney Barnett, Tame Impala etc. Also the continuing popularity of EDM music, with it primarily making up what's in the charts.
