When Harry Met Sally? When Buzzeddie Met Nemo most likes. You see, local lads The Buzzeddie Family recently found themselves in Victoria for a series of shows with Melbourne act Nemo, and the tour was arranged completely over the net, without the bands having set eye upon each other. Now they’re returning the favour, with Nemo set to join them for a series of Queensland dates. Dave (vocals), Sam (drums) and Ryan (guitars) got together to answer a few questions about the shows.

Internet dating get lot of bad press, did reality meet your expectations when Buzzeddie and Nemo finally got together?

Ryan: “Damian was the sexiest man I'd ever seen.”

Sam: “It was kind of weird, we'd never met, or even spoken (not even on the phone! All by email- the wonders of the new millennium) before we got off the plane in Melbourne. After the first show, we all sat 'round and had a laugh...”

Ryan: “And a beer or twenty.”

Sam: “...in relief about how worried we all were, both bands, that the other band would be a bunch of wankers who couldn't play their instruments. As it turns out we have sounds and personalities that really meshed.”

Dave: “They were much uglier than I expected them to be.”

How’s the bond between the two bands after your tour of Melbourne? Are their grounds for a long-term relationship?

Sam: The bond is great. We spent almost a week living in each others pockets.”

Ryan: “We got to know each other really well.”

Sam: “Dave and I got up and jammed on a few of their songs, which was fun. I'd say there'll be more of that on these shows. As far as a long-termer goes - I definitely hope so. Its great having a strong Melbourne contact. Were hoping to do it all again in April to tie in with the launch of the new CD.”

How's the new EP progressing, and when will it see the light of day? What else is on the horizon?

Ryan: “It's more of a night-time release.”

Dave: “There was talk of us becoming a novelty costume act but the person who suggested that had his mouth gaffed shut.”

Sam: “We're mixing at the moment through a vast network of sound engineers, it's looking like each track will be mixed by someone different! Were hoping for a late March release and then to do The Perfect Strangers thing all over again in April/May.”

Russ: “We're just waiting on Baz Leurman's costume designer to get back from the south of France.”
