It’s also the opening track of their upcoming second album, Everything is Nothing, due July 7..

Given the last time we featured WA post-rock/experimental trio Usurper Of Modern Medicine was THIS wonderfully weird 360 VR video for their single Ego War, it should come as no surprise that their next release is equally surreal. House Of Reps is the first taste of the group's upcoming second album, Everything Is Nothing (due July 7), and it comes with a mesmerising video clip created by UOMM frontman Steven Aaron Hughes, with 3D animation from Sam Price AKA Naik. The result is a mindwarping descent into madness, focusing on Hughes' singing face, twisting and distorting in all manner of ways. It's a captivating five minute journey that perfectly suits the energetic new single, itself serving as a tantalising first cut for the upcoming album.

Never ones to do things in halves, Everything Is Nothing's vinyl release will also be accompanied by an augmented reality application, designed by Hughes in collaboration with Perth surrealist painter Liam Dee and coder Steve Berrick. The app turns will turn Everything Is Nothing into a VR touch-sensor game, creating generative artwork in time with the rhythm of the track using information from the user’s listening environment. Which sounds fucking awesome. But we'll just have to wait til July 7, so get lost in their new video below, and also mark July 14 in your diary - it's when they launch the album at The Bird.
