It's time for another taster from Step-Panther's upcoming album.. Sydney trio Step-Panther are marching towards the release of their new album Strange But Nice, due September 19 and produced by Big Scary's Tom Lansek, and their new single is only whetting our appetite more. Solidifying their shift towards a somewhat poppier direction, it still packs enough of the wonky guitar jangles that has been garnering them fans thick and fast. Yes we keep babbling on about how strong Australia's producer scene is, but the guitar has always been here, and as long as peeps like Step-Panther keep doing it well, we've got much to look forward to: Follow Step-Panther: FACEBOOK // TUMBLR

Sydney's Mammals give us a short'n'sweet run through of their debut EP.. Sydney's Mammal's release their debut EP Animalia Friday 15 August, and it caps off an impressive time for the group that includes the first single Wolf garnering accolades all over the place, along with the just-dropped Goldroom collab - Till Sunrise (listen HERE). Guy from the group gives us a little bit of insight into the five-tracker below, and you can buy Animalia right HERE: CIRCLES This is one of my favourites to play live for sure. Just flowing with the music. CODEINE EYES Sometimes you got to learn to let go before you hold on. I feel the lyrics in this are so true to me. DEPRAVED Deep from the depths of the subconscious. MOVE SLOWER Flash is the man. Without him this wouldn’t exist. We made a connection months before this existed and finally came up with this. WOLF I will always love and miss Wolf very much. It's always tough to play this live without him. Follow Mammals: FACEBOOK // SOUNDCLOUD

In the lead-up to Progfest, we ask artists a series of quick fire questions. We continue with Melbourne’s A Lonely Crowd.

With Dragonforce's sixth album 'Maximum Overload' out this August, Killyourstereo.com chats with guitarist Herman Li about the prospect of a return to our shores, experiences on Soundwave and what it takes to get him pumped up to play.

I just had a suspicion of the US, but the audience is absolutely fantastic

Indian Summer's future-club banger gets a weird/wonderful video.. With their latest single Shiner feat. Ginger & The Ghost being premiered by THUMP US, clocking up a million Youtube views, racing past a quarter-mill on Soundcloud and hitting #1 on Hype Machine, it's time for one our fave duos in Aussie Dance Indian Summer to unleash their first ever music video. Shot by Jack Toohey (The Kite String Tangle, Cosmo's Midnight), it's wacky trip through the lives of a whole bunch of different people. Not unlike their genre-hopping style, it's another excellent step forward as the Indian Summer train surges forward in 2014. Check it below, along with the remaining tour dates for their current Shiner EP Tour: REMAINING TOUR DATES: Fri Aug 15 - Meche, Canberra Sat Aug 23 - The TBC Club, Brisbane Wed Aug 27 - Akuna Club @ Llama Bar, Perth Fri Aug 29 - Mondo Fridays @ Ginger, Perth Sat Aug 30 - Ship Faced Cruise, Sydney Sat Aug 30 - Carmens, Miranda Sat Sept 6 - Anyway @ The Bottom End, Melbour

The boy wonder's world-smashing single gets a smooth video clip.. Following the release of his first official single, Happy Little Pill, and the ensuing remix from another young group of Melbourne producers Casper Zazz (check it HERE), WA-based Youtube sensation Troye Sivan has dropped a video clip for the track which is racing towards half-a-million plays in only a day. His massive fanbase is undeniable (he's already crashed our site twice), fortunately the kid knows how to craft a solid pop tune. Citing influences such as Lorde and Frank Ocean, it's a good pedigree to form a base from. And if these are the kinda tunes young music fans are getting into - well that's something we're definitely on board with: Your can pre-order Troye's debut EP TRXYE HERE (it's out Friday 15 August).

With a new album almost out and tour kicking off, Seekae answer a couple of Q's.. Sydney electronic outfit Seekae are on the verge of releasing their much-anticipated third LP, The Worry (out September 12 via Future Classic - pre-order HERE), and with the national tour celebrating said releasing kicking off this week, John Hassell from the trio took a break from tour prep to answer a few questions.

Should have known we'd just get photos of weird Korean drinks and crying cats.. WA radio institution RTRFM are launching their epic 10 day Radiothon on Friday 15 August across four venues with a host of Perth's finest (seriously - check the details HERE), and the apple in our eye you know as Sable will be smashing things out at the Flyrite stage. There, along with Lower Spectrum and Cloudwaves DJs, he'll be joined by good pals Slumberjack (you might remember a little ditty they released together called SPRINTER), so we figured why not ask these two production behemoths to take a break from sexting and actually interview each other via the iPhone. We should have known it'd just be full of weird pictures, Korean beverages and sad cats, but if you dig a little deeper there's some sneaky little bits of info here and there that might just pique your interest.
