From the minds behind Sugarcane Restaurant comes new venture Juicy Lucy, self-described as a "classic Aussie chicken shop with a South East Asian influence".

Owners Milan Strbac and Griff Pamment explained that they wanted to recreate their experience growing up in the cultural melting pot of Sydney's western suburbs, eating takewaway from the chicken shop one night, then curries and noodles from the next door Thai place the following night.

Juicy Lucy is serving up slow roasted whole chooks, spiced overnight in a brine consisting of Sichuan pepper, cloves, cassia bark and coriander seeds, and stuffed with garlic rice. There's a Thai Gai Yang (grilled chicken), burgers and wraps filled with Asian ingredients, and rotating salads.
