What can punters expect from your Hidden Treasures show?
I’ve been working on a whole new live show that I’m itching to show you all. I don’t want to give away too much but let's say an MPC (with some fingers on it) and DJ on the cuts and a didgeridoo player/guitarist for a couple of songs to top it all off!
What is it about Fremantle that produces so much talent?
A funny question that you ask this as I was yarning with a Freo local, Paulie P, about this the other day and I think it's a lot like the hip-hop community, as in it's tight-knit with a lot of support were everyone knows everyone and it's all love with a vibrancy not found any were else in Australia or maybe even the world maybe. You just gotta look at the amount of success it's produced over the decades!
I was lucky enough to see for the first time a great band at Mojo's just last week, Galloping Foxley's, which I’m sure you may have heard off. They were amazing and had me in stitches with some of their songs and would highly recommend who hasn't seen them live.
What else are you working on right now?
I'll be in Narogin, Sat 2 July for a NAIDOC event then I’m off to the,Pilbara (for the first time ever) for a bunch of workshops which the Youth there which I cannot wait for, then it's back to Perth for one day for Midland Youth Festival and the NAIDOC After Party.
Then I’m off to Queensland (for the first time ever again) for the Students Of Sustainability 25th Year Anniversary Conference, then it’s back to the West Coast just in time for Hidden Treasures Festival, and on top off that the Survivor LP launch in late August/early September, so keep an eye out for that one!
