Give us a short description of your music: Good Doogs music is inspired by the Californian surf rock bands like Wavves, Best Coast and Fidlar with an Australian spin on it.
Which acts are on your must-see list at BIGSOUND? Bugs, The Chats, TOTTY, VOIID, Eliza & The Delusionals, Psychedelic Porn Crumpets, Carla Geneve, Arno Faraji, RAAVE TAPES, Slowly Slowly, CLEWS, Moaning Lisa, WALKEN.
In your career to date, what have been the key watershed moments? Playing the triple j Unearthed slot at Groovin the Moo Bunbury. Selling out all four shows we have headlined in Perth. Going on our own national tour and selling out shows in Wollongong and Adelaide in March. Toured again in August selling out shows in Perth, Fremantle, and Melbourne.
If you could give your younger self, starting out as a musician, a few words of wisdom, what would they be? You can do whatever you want to do on your own, you don't need someone else to do it for you or tell you how its done. Just work hard at what you're doing, what you're passionate about and the results will come. Always be happy and always be humble!
Why should people come and see you among the many amazing bands at BIGSOUND? People should come see Good Doogs because we are so fun live. Its a visual performance as much as it is an audio experience. Our sound is a unique blend of surf rock and punk with melodic vocals that no one else on the lineup is really doing. FUN

What industry lessons would you like to take away from the BIGSOUND conference? I hope to walk away knowing a bit more about how the international music scene works and what its gonna take to get the band overseas
What do you identify as the most pressing issue impacting the Australian music industry at present? Inclusivity. From lineups to everyday business everyone is trying to get equality going which is sick. Its definitely not there yet but theres a lot of awareness being created and a lot of people are changing their actions and working towards full inclusivity and equality.
What music trends do you think are dominating right now, and do you have any predictions for the coming year? It seems like mumble rap is everywhere at the moment, i don't really back it myself but the kids are vibing hard on it. I reckon Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever are going to go skits like fully global household names this year. Those guys shred
