As the 2025 ARIA Awards share nominees chosen from their biggest list of entries to date, it's a clear winner for newcomers and independent acts.

"By leveraging Spotify’s global scale and expertise in music discovery, we’re making sure ARIA nominees and winners aren’t just celebrated on the night at home."

Other big winners on the night included Dom Dolla, Teen Jesus And The Jean Teasers, and Speed.

“It's not only a win for myself and my mob but for all First Nations people all over the globe," Miss Kaninna said.

The award returns to this year's event for a second year running.

“If I can make an album about a roach running away from God and it can be nominated for seven ARIAs... That's a good sign.”
