UK funnyman Ricky Gervais has taken a break from his usual Twitter programming to shout out Sydney prog-rock band We Lost The Sea.
Gervais took to the social media platform yesterday (29 January) to praise the band to his 13 million followers, comparing them to a mix between Mogwai and Hammock — which is pretty bang on.

The band was obviously wrapped at the discovery of their new fan, tweeting back their admiration and basically offering him door spots to their shows for life.

We Lost At Sea have been laying low since in Australia they toured their 2015 album Departure Songs for the last time early last year but are about to kick off a ten-date Chinese tour in March.
