2021 Nominees For AIR Independent Label Of The Year Awards Unveiled

Having announced a return to live proceedings, the Australian Independent Record Labels Association Awards (AIR Awards) today confirmed that the ceremony will take place in person in Adelaide, Thursday 5 August.

The association also unveiled their nominees for Independent Label Of The Year - an annual award recognising the best in indie and local record labels throughout the country.

Nominees for the award include metal and heavy music label UNFD, Sydney alt team etcetc, Mushroom affiliates I OH YOU, Fremantle group Spinning Top, and national label ABC Music, who took out the award last year.

“Winning Independent Label Of The Year at the 2020 AIR Awards was such an amazing achievement for the team," Head of ABC Music Natalie Waller said of the win at the time. "It is a great honour to win it, especially against such incredible competition.”

The AIR Awards will take place in August and features nominees throughout a multitude of categories including Flume, Parkway Drive, Vika & Linda, Hayley Mary, Kylie Auldist and heaps more. Check out music from all the nominees via the official AIR Awards 2021 Playlist.
