The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame will induct its impressive 2025 roster this weekend, and the good news for Australian fans is that the ceremony will be available to watch.

In April, the Rock Hall confirmed that The White Stripes, Soundgarden, OutKast, Cyndi Lauper, Joe Cocker, Bad Company, and Chubby Checker would be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame this year.

In addition to those artists, Warren Zevon and Salt-N-Pepa will be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame through its Musical Excellence category.

This year’s recipients of the Musical Influence Award are Carol Kaye, Thom Bell, and Nicky Hopkins, while the 2025 recipient of the Ahmet Ertegun Award is the music industry veteran Lenny Waronker.

Music fans, as well as over 1,200 artists, historians, and members of the music industry, voted for this year’s inductees. In extra incredible news for OutKast, Joe Cocker, Bad Company, and Chubby Checker, all four of them were first-time eligible nominees for induction.

Other nominated artists who didn’t make the cut for this year’s induction ceremony were Oasis, Mariah Carey, Joy Division and New Order (nominated together), Billy Idol, The Black Crowes, Maná, and the fan-voted winner, Phish.

The artists will be inducted during a star-studded ceremony at the Peacock Theatre in Los Angeles on Saturday, 8 November, which will be live-streamed on Disney+. Australian fans can tune in from 12 pm AEDT on Sunday, 9 November, on Disney+.

Last month, it was announced that Chappell Roan would induct Cyndi Lauper into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Additional performers and presenters set to appear at this weekend’s ceremony include Olivia Rodrigo, Elton John, Iggy Pop, Mick Fleetwood, Killer Mike, Doja Cat, Flea, Missy Elliott, twenty one pilots, Questlove, RAYE, Teddy Swims, and more.
