Hopefully Fraksha will let his solo work hold centre stage in the future – it’s certainly capable of doing so.

“My first performance when I was five years old as a fairy with tulle wings made out of wire coat hangers with silver sequins along the edges. I was convinced I was the best dancer in the world, but then I turned six and realised my mistake.”

It’s a beautiful gig – Seltmann is at her stripped-down best, and it looks like she has plenty of brilliance on offer with the upcoming album.

“[My dad] made me get up and I rapped a verse in front of them, and they lost their crap, basically. They loved it, which was an amazing feeling – I’d been listening to all those guys since I was about five years old.”

Served closes out the evening, with the Corner’s red curtains finally drawing to signify the end of a great gig.

They seem caught between an indie sensibility and old-school hip hop posturing, and as a result, Sunday Gentlemen is only the sum of its parts.
