"A quirky play on the loss of relationships and people."
Lee Martin has today revealed the music video for her most recent single, Finally Going My Way, premiering exclusively via The Music.
The track is the second single taken from her upcoming album, Gypsy Soul, and highlights Martin's emphatic vocals and charismatic lyricism.
On the track's sentiment, she stated it's "one of those unsent letters of the things you would like to say to someone, but you never send it".
"Life as a musician is so interesting, you are always surrounded by people and seemingly popular, but at root level, it’s a lonely life," Martin said.
"You sacrifice a lot of your personal life to pursue your dreams and often friends tend to disappear, but as with everything it is a give and take, with the good comes the bad and the choice is always yours."
The track's music video was recorded at a secret location in Christchurch and was directed and filmed by Chucky Prague and Rus Lan.

On the construction of the music video, Martin stated: "The video for Finally Going My Way is a quirky play on the loss of relationships and people, represented by the ominous mannequins, in the pursuit of following dreams."
