Join the sombre Sydney trio MOVEMENT with the latest video for their slow-burning single 'Like Lust'. Presented as another installment of the 'MODULAR Sessions' series, the group provides an intimate recital of their moving track.
Filmed at the National Art School's Cell Block Theatre in Sydney, MOVEMENT get together on stage in low-light settings to bring us a up close and personal performance of their downtempo track 'Like Lust'.
The track is a slow-moving, deep venture into the realms of electronic soul/future-R&B. Exploring uncharted textures and melodic combinations, 'Like Lust' is full of bittersweet vocal melodies, smooth synth layers, and subtle guitar progressions - a motif that MOVEMENT are increasingly maturing with.
The camera floats lucidly throughout the stage, amongst drum machines, synthesizers and more as the group play through their track, with the only audience being a sound engineer overlooking the audio desk.
The video makes the performance feel like we are watching a closed door rehearsal, a secret that MOVEMENT is letting us all in on, just this once.
