Live Review: WATCH: Kendrick Lamar 'Backseat Freestyle' (Official Video)

For the latest visual installment off ‘good kid, m.A.A.d city’, KENDRICK LAMAR brings us Backseat Freestyle, the third track off the album released in October. Although proclaimed as the “good kid” of rap, LAMAR shows the world he’s all grown up in this fast paced, self-directed clip.

The setting switches between Paris, and the rappers hometown of Compton, California, showing LAMAR doing his thing all across the globe. Done in black and white, the video works as a little snapshot into the life of LAMAR, and the characters that feature so prominently throughout the lyrics on the album.

Not only do we meet LAMAR’s father, seen smoking a joint and talking shit on the couch, but we also finally get to put name to face…or booty of the seductress ‘Sherane.’
