Album Review: WAAX - Wild & Weak

StarStarStarStar

"The album thematically encompasses feelings of insanity and frustration...all with a badass attitude."

More WAAX WAAX

The angsty, destructive and rowdy tones of Brisbane punk outfit WAAX hit hard with opening title track Wild & Weak setting a killer vibe for their second EP.

WAAX keep the same old-school punk rock they presented back in 2014's Holy Sick EP with cleaner, more subdued and tight arrangements that are more melodic than they are thrashing.

With highly distorted guitar and frontwoman Marie DeVita's rough powerhouse vocals, the album thematically encompasses feelings of insanity and frustration "Something's got the nape of my neck / And I don't see hands" all with a badass attitude and sense of spite toward the world.
