PNAU - Stranger Love ft. Budjerah

PNAU have teamed up with Australian singer-songwriter Budjerah for their new single ‘Stranger Love’. It’s the PNAU we’ve come to know and love, delivering yet another uplifting house track packed to the brim with dance floor sensibilities. Budjerah’s soulful tones match the energy perfectly, with both artists' respective sonic words meeting  perfectly in the middle. PNAU’s Nick Littlemore describes the experience of working with breakthrough artist Budjerah: “Meeting a young, spirited artist like Budjerah is beautiful and challenging. To encounter someone so young who already has a great handle on creativity and kindness confronts one’s own insecurities.”

박혜진 Park Hye Jin - Y DON’T U ft. Clams Casino, Take A Daytrip

박혜진 Park Hye Jin has teamed up with Clams Casino and Grammy-nominated NYC duo Take A Daytrip for 'Y DON’T U'. On the track, Hye Jin contemplates rejection and heartbreak, perfectly combining softly spoken word vocals on the tracks chorus with verses rapped in native Korean. With a producer lineup like this, it’s no surprise how gorgeous the beat is, with spacey synths combining with perfectly punchy percussion.

Marcus Whale - Undead

Multi-instrumentalist and artist Marcus Whale has released his brand new single, ‘Undead’. Brooding synths join Whale’s powerful vocal delivery, with boisterous dance drums entering the fold in its later half. Inspired by ambient tones, the track is super emotive, creating a truely all enveloping deep sonic experience.

Baltra - Like A Butterfly

New York based Baltra is back in fine form, releasing his new single, ‘Like A Butterfly’. Releasing his first music in parallel with the lo-fi house explosion of the mid-2010s, Baltra has always been an artist known to consistently evolve, and his EP, ‘Ambition’, released today, lives up to that creative ethos. ‘Ambition’ sees Baltra firmly cast his own vocals front and centre, whether manipulated or left comparatively bare.

Lara D - No One

Eora/Sydney based Lara D has today shared her stunning debut single, ‘No One’. Self written, the track is all about trusting and believing in yourself under any circumstances. ‘No One’ is a super mature take on R&B for the 18 year old, bringing her personality and experiences to its forefront. She describes her creative process simply, stating, “embrace your culture, embrace who you are, embrace what you do. Sometimes people find it embarrassing, but I find it cool. I’m the type of person who loves [different] cultures, traditions, I find it amazing.”

Maple Glider - Baby Tiger

Naarm/Melbourne based artist Maple Glider this week released her new single, ‘Baby Tiger’. The single comes alongside the announcement of her debut LP, ‘To Enjoy is the Only Thing’. Over unison, raindrop-weighted nylon string guitar and piano Maple Glider dwells in a mist of apathy, taking a faceless lover. On its creation, she states, "Baby Tiger was written soon after I’d returned home from Brighton," Tori shares. "I was really struggling with my mental health, but I was going out and kind of using dating as a distraction from dealing with it. It never really worked. I'd just end up feeling worse when I was alone.”

Juno Mamba - Slow Malady

Juno Mamba is back with another single, Slow Malady, serving as a perfect palate cleaner following his rave inspired, ‘1996’. Multiple synth lines build upon eachother, creating a cinematic ambient experience, toeing the lines between euphoria and melancholy. The track is based on a very personal story of Juno finding out during his first trip to Siargao that his father’s health was in a serious condition. He describes this as “a surreal experience visiting a place where he was born and raised, which I was only starting to discover, then being told this jarring news. I wanted to convey the sense of freedom and positive energy he displayed when I saw him.”

Yorke - Window Shopping

Yorke is becoming one of the most captivating new artists out of Australia. She’s now released her latest track and music video ‘Window Shopping’,a continuation of the creative freedom she produced on last year’s, Japanese Wallpaper-produced single ‘Gravity’. These two tracks combined mark a new era for Yorke. The disco tinged ‘Window Shopping’ is a slick re-entry into the release market. Vulnerable songwriting portraying romance vividly reigns heavily on its sentiment, wrestling a desire to impress a potential love interest without losing sight on who she truly is as a person.

Roy Blues - Pulsar

Naarm/Melbourne’s Roy Blues has today released his new EP ‘Subterrane’. Kicking off the EP, and a personal favourite is ‘Pulsar’. The track is a production flex, with Roy Blues showcasing his incredible ability to shapeshift and manipulate sound. It perfectly combines light and dark, an uplifting moment on the grandiose EP.

Magugu - Pepper Dem

After debuting on NLV Records last year, UK-based Nigerian artist Magugu returns today with a new heavy-hitter in “Pepper Dem”, produced by LA/NYC producer Tony Quattro. The track's masterclass is Pidgin rap, with Magugu’s killer flow gliding over the dance & hip-hop fusion beat. The music video for this one is literally so friggen hot, so please go check it out.
