Album Review: Trey Songz - Trigga

StarStar

"This is an album the charts want, not what the world needs."

More Trey Songz Trey Songz

Six albums in and Trey Songz still has his controls set for the heart of the pelvis. Trigga is lubed, spit and polished to production perfection with a much lower “nigga” and “gurl” count raising the quality control over many of his contemporaries. But the appearance of walking cred-repellent Justin Bieber sinks the conviction.

When Songz actually singz, he's at his most sincere, but he chooses to spend most of Trigga making music to watch booty bounce in slo-mo to. This is an album the charts want, not what the world needs.
