'It's A Demonic Art Form': PNAU's Nick Littlemore On Making Music And Tripping Balls

Live Review: The Hood Internet Self Titled New Release

Chicago duo The Hood Internet put out their first release since 2010 calling it a 'Self-Titled Compilation of remix and production work'.

Chicago mashup 2-piece The Hood Internet have just put out their first release since last year's 'Trillwave' mixtape, calling it a totally free "Self-Titled Compilation of remix and production work". It features vocals/instrumentals from acts like Foster The People, Ninjasonik, Das Racist, Ariel Pink's Haunted Graffiti, A Place To Bury Strangers and heaps more.

The guys put out a fantastic promo video in the weeks leading up to the release showing how the cover image was created (created out of $500 worth of Taco Bell Tacos), watch it above.

Stream it free below or download it HERE

On first listen it's sounding a lot more like Girl Talk's early work than their previous work, opting for more complex cut up instrumentals hits rather than straight up hip-hop-acapella-over-indie-rock-track mashups which most fans know them for. This collection of work serves a testament to the fact that these guys really are great producers as well as being great party animals. This doesn't run like a mixtape either, tracks are totally separate and it feels a lot more like an album.

Have a listen to their last release below, it features artists like Toro Y MoiLupe Fiasco, Raekwon, Lil' B, Com Truise and Cults.
