"The Southwicks eschew typical song formats and avoid choruses, but the band more than make up for it with the passion and vigour of their instrumentation and the power of their vocal harmonies."

The Southwicks have put their half-dozen members to good use in their debut EP Euphoria, creating a broad indie-folk soundscape that waxes and wanes like the phases of the moon. Excellent guitar and bass tones form the majority of the rhythm section texture, with drums and other percussion elements like keys, synth and glockenspiel adding flavour and weight when needed. The Southwicks eschew typical song formats and avoid choruses, but the band more than make up for it with the passion and vigour of their instrumentation and the power of their vocal harmonies.
