Skitheads

While entertaining for a range of age groups, this show will be most appreciated by a young adult audience – or at least those with a grasp of the phrase “no homo”.

An endearing sketch comedy with the intimate, light-hearted atmosphere of a high-school play, Skitheads covers a range of subject matter – from Nicki Minaj to a driving examiner. The natural drawback of the sketch comedy format is evident in that the quality of each skit is erratic.

However the show noticeably picks up towards the middle of the first half.  With cheesy but satisfying wordplay, gentle jibes at local institutions and the use of wacky call-back style humour, the cast of Skitheads ultimately wins you over despite their somewhat amateurish vibe (mostly from some shonky technological aids and performers occasional laughing during a skit).
