"A ghoulish cult outsider, Walker is plumbing new levels of sinister."

The psychological drama The Childhood Of A Leader isn't available in Australia yet, but if this soundtrack is anything to go by movie-goers will be hiding behind their seats.

Bernard Herrmann's Psycho score is an obvious popular influence with its lurching violins and groaning double basses. But Walker and his 74-strong orchestra have an edge that the imitators can't match as on the likes of The Meeting, where strings slide around in impossible, alien ways. A ghoulish cult outsider, Walker is plumbing new levels of sinister.
