Album Review: Primal Scream - Chaosmosis

When Primal Scream's 2013 More Light set dropped, we all wondered how the hell our ears could be satisfied listening to anything else ever again.

Until the shimmering Sky Ferreira-featuring Where The Light Gets In beckoned us to the dancefloor in readiness for its follow-up, Chaosmosis. Bobby Gillespie urges, "Come on," with debonair insouciance during album opener Trippin' On Your Love, there's trademark insistent piano riffs and then bongos bring the boogie. Haim sounds like mini Rowettas on BVs and Carnival Of Fools is a demented hallucinogenic masterpiece. Chaosmosis confidently references the best from Primal Scream's supreme back catalogue.
