"When it came together, the music evoked another world, but unfortunately, flat notes and a struggle to keep in time distracted."

St Stephen's Anglican Church was an apt space for an hour of songs and poems retelling excerpts of The Lord Of The Rings trilogy.

The fantastical compositions were played by the Windjammer Brass Ensemble and performed by vocalists Samantha Frazer and Robert Dora; Frazer's angelic vocals being the highlight. When it came together, the music evoked another world, but unfortunately, flat notes and a struggle to keep in time distracted. One could appreciate the scope and scale of work put into an effort like this, but it would only really appeal to the niche audience of fans of both LOTR and brass ensembles.
