"This EP is a hugely enjoyable short essay from these able guys."
The spacey psych-rock of Brisbane four-piece Moses Gunn Collective could so easily blur into the array of bands flogging the same sounds, but straight up, Shalala transports instead of subdues with its twangy, reverb-filled goodness and singer Aiden Moore’s carefree croon.
They back it up with the shoegazey Mary, the more upbeat Grinding Stone, spiralling off into its own colourful haze, and the brooding time-changer, Ghost Life. Things get a bit messy with fuzz turned up for Shadows, so it’s no striking finish, but this EP is a hugely enjoyable short essay from these able guys.
