Micah D Higbed

"You might even learn something."

Micah D Higbed’s former Aussie banknote show Noteworthy took $5 each way on being entertaining and informative, and his new show cashes in on a similar format.

Higbed spins yarns of both well known and obscure figures in Australian history who stuck up two fingers to The Man, from the first convict who stepped out of line, through various bushrangers, and to more recent figures such as the late Gough Whitlam. The trick is to make this stuff engaging and funny and avoid being as dry as a dingo’s proverbial, and the always entertaining Higbed makes it look simple, mining each nugget of history for comedy gold. You might even learn something. In fact, I have a new favourite bushranger: Mosquito. Look him up. Or better yet, buy a ticket and let Higbed tell you all about him.
