Merge

Choreographer and performer Melanie Lane takes us all on a trip through our material world to show us how we interact with it, merge with it and repel it, all the while listening to a soundtrack of industrial, fast-paced electronic music. The bodies of all four dancers employ isolation, repetition and flexibility to emulate material objects or react to them throughout the hour. Dancer Ashley McLellan gets to show off her agility, characterisation and fluidity of movement as she is spun around continuously on a piece of square carpet. She is definitely one to watch.
