"This latest mix is a seamless blend of textures."
If you’ve not heard Kölsch’s debut album, 1977, please walk over to your nearest music-playing device and listen to it.
The Danish producer, whose real and no-easier-to-pronounce name is Rune Reilly Kølsch, has been brilliantly and vividly redefining the sound palette of modern dance music the last few years. This latest mix is a seamless blend of textures that blurs each track into another, never straying far from the album’s romantic overtones. It’s his own tracks, including a remix of Radiohead’s Videotape and a propulsive unreleased song, Punchbuggy, that stand out as the most colourful, enjoyable songs.
