Sydney quartet FourPlay have made a really engaging move with This Machine.

There are some interesting atmospherics with Something Is Going Wrong and Space Party Awesomeness (each could easily be a soundtrack for a sci-fi show yet unwritten). The band’s talent for swoony, boozy jazz is displayed with Mississippi Sinkhole (carried by great vox by Lara) and Dog Days, while the dramatic faux folk of Moon Over The Moldau has just the right amount of bounce.
