It’s Whose Line Is It Anyway meets the WWE, with a Gen Y twist.

Friday Night Comedy at one of the coolest and most welcoming venues in the city, The Butterfly Club, has hulked up and expanded to both Thursdays and Saturdays too. MC Dave Warneke oversees as five bold comedians – tonight it’s Rob Caruana, Victoria Healy, Timothy Clark, Sonio Di Lorio and Firdi Billimoria – drop their routines and live by their wits as the audience use their smartphones to text in the most absurd improv cues imaginable. A favourite round is where a comic (tonight it’s the hapless Caruana) has to respond to and deal with a constant stream of texted heckles on a screen behind him. A great, fun show and an inspired concept.
