US indie rockers COLD WAR KIDS have just released the first single from their fourth studio album, scheduled for release on April 5 through Downtown/Cooperative Records.
Miracle Mile is an upbeat pop anthem, with an emphatic piano and guitar presence and another really strong vocal performance from frontman Nathan Willett. He has one of the greater pop voices going around at the moment, and the track really helps him show of the character and technical brilliance of his voice.
Dear Miss Lonelyhearts is the name of their upcoming album, recorded in the band's studio space in California. They've managed to get guitarist Dan Gallucci of Modest Mouse on board, as well as renowned musician and producer Lars Stalfors - whose made records with Matt & Kimb, The Mars Volta & Funeral Party.

Willett said the recording process was a bit different than previous records of theirs, commenting that 'we were shaken up, ready to let certain songs go further than before by trying new styles and arrangements'. He noted that the group started to care more about the finished product and less about how they ended up there.
The band will release short trailers from the making of their record for each week until the release of Dear Miss Lonelyhearts in April. You can check them out at www.coldwarkids.com
COLD WAR KIDS will return to the road in mid-February, touring around North America and then hopefully bring their new live show to our grateful shores.
