Covering life, love and dreams is an ambitious task for young Geelong comedian, Cohen Johnston. Interspersing multimedia with stand up, Johnstoncovers tips for internet dating, the impact of too much fast food choice on relationships and the joys of growing up in Geelong. It's tough when you're starting out, don't have a crew and are therefore doing everything including the door and lights, but Johnston's show could have done with some third-party direction in terms of tightening up the script and also improving his delivery. Punchlines were sometimes muffled or not given the requisite build up to really cash in. The occasional misogynistic throwaway line also dampened the feelings of goodwill that Johnston's youthful persona engenders. With more rigor in his performance and better judgement, he could turn his misguided aspiration into a realist one.
