"These guys are purveyors of pounding post-hardcore, make no mistake."
Don't let the quiet, melancholy intro of Ink Into Water fool you, it erupts into mayhem just under a minute in. These guys are purveyors of pounding post-hardcore, make no mistake.
At the same time, it highlights what is so promising about this band: the sense of dynamics, variation and light and shade, within the post-hardcore framework that they manage to put across in a four-track EP. All four tunes are markedly different from each other.
The whole thing whizzes by way too quickly, hopefully a full-length bad boy from these Melbourne lads isn't too far away.
